Through an online provider, CCS is pleased to offer a limited number of advanced placement courses to students who wish to take college courses while in high school. Students can complete these courses after school on their own time or may schedule an FLVS period during the school day to complete these courses. All students taking approved AP classes must meet minimum GPA and other eligibility requirements to take these courses during the school day. AP courses may not replace a corresponding course offered by CCS in a traditional classroom setting (i.e., AP Biology may not replace CCS's standard sophomore biology course.).
CCS-approved AP courses include the following:
AP Calculus AB
AP Calculus BC
AP Computer Science A
AP English Language and Composition
AP English Literature and Composition
AP Environmental Science
AP Human Geography
AP US Government and Economics
AP US History
All AP courses require an off-campus EOC (end of course) examination that must be taken before credit can be issued. Please contact the registrar's office for more information.
