Communication Matters...
  • Speech 1: Students study the communication process, audience analysis, and public speaking guidelines. The course involves topic choice, research, organization, and effective communication. Speaking projects include introductions, interviews, demonstration speeches, declamations, informative speeches, devotional speeches, and persuasive speeches.
  • Speech 2: This course prepares students for performance at formal and informal gatherings, in church, and in competition. The course focuses on reading, understanding, interpreting, and performing all types of dramatic and narrative literature.
