With classes starting on Monday, August 12, it is time to start focusing on preparing for school. This page will point you in the right direction for answers to your most pressing questions.
- Admission Information:
This page in the Admissions section of the site contains all relevant enrollment and back-to-school links: handbooks (preschool, elementary, and secondary), school supply lists (elementary and secondary), health examination forms, course selection, medication authorizations, etc. In the red documents box, parents and students can find everything they need to start the year. Please note that all students in grades nine through twelve must complete and submit the course selection before July 19.
- School Calendar:
In the About section of the site, you will find the updated school calendar. This calendar provides important information, links, and details about every school event currently scheduled by the administration. If there is a date change, it will show up here. For those who use personal digital calendars, this tool allows for easy integration with your digital device.
- Game Schedule:
Our Crusaders will also enjoy the game schedule posted under Athletics. This calendar provides updated game times.
- Back-to-School Family Fun Night:
You'll want to put Back-to-School Family Fun Night at Community on your calendar! Games, prizes, snacks, pictures, and more! The entire Crusader family is invited, and you won't want to miss it. We'll see you on Thursday, August 8, 6:30 p.m., in the gymnasium.
- Drop-in Orientation:
On Friday, August 9, campus buildings and classrooms will be open for Orientation. Students in K5 through grade 12 must drop in with a parent sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Preschool (up to K4) will have Orientation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Because faculty and staff will present vital information for the school year at Orientation, attendance is required. Our amazing teachers will be working hard in training sessions and room preparation Monday through Thursday, so please don't request to come earlier in the week. Remember that parents will not be able to enter student areas other than the offices without a visitor badge once the school year begins on Monday, August 12.
Students will meet their teachers, receive schedules, find classrooms, drop off supplies, organize desks and/or lockers, and get everything in place for the first day of school. It is imperative that each student be here with a parent or guardian at Orientation. All enrolled students who attend Orientation are expected to be in school dress (recreational dress is fine--check the handbook for more details). Office staff will be available for students to purchase P.E. uniforms. Please plan to bring all school supplies to Orientation.
- Crusader Standards of Conduct Agreement
All students (parents for K5 through grade 3) should turn in a conduct agreement indicating that they have read and agree to abide by the student handbook. These should be turned in no later than Orientation.
This is going to be an exciting year for Community! We give God the glory for every good thing that is taking place here. He alone is worthy to be praised. If you have questions that are not answered by our website, please contact the office.
